Steps
Positive Steps (PS), a training Program
of Child Care Resources of Agenda for Children. The purpose
of Positive Steps, a private and state-funded training
project, is to promote early education and quality child care
in programs that serve young children. It provides:
- Training and support for Class A centers and Family Child
Care Providers;
- Weekly workshops offered at different sites throughout
southeast Louisiana;
- Topics that include all areas of early childhood education
and development and
- Quarterly training calendars with a schedule of workshops,
course descriptions and project information.
All training:
- Includes information about special needs children;
- Supports the development of anti-bias curricula;
- Encourages developmentally appropriate practices;
and
- Corresponds with Child Development Associate (CDA)
Subject Areas.

- Individuals in their work with children and families.
