Find a Child Care Provider
Finding the right child care provider is one of the most important decisions you'll make as a parent. The good news is that Agenda for Children, your local child care resource and referral (CCR&R) agency, is here to help!
We help parents and caregivers learn about their child care options. We can also help you learn about how to choose high-quality child care.
Our CCR&R staff can provide you with a list of referrals to child care options that meet your family's specific needs. We maintain a database of child care providers (including child care centers, family child care homes, parents' day out programs and summer camps) that we use to locate child care that meets your family's needs. Thanks to funding provided by the Louisiana Department of Education, all referrals are provided for free. If you are looking for care in New Orleans, be sure to check out the New Orleans Guide to Early Childhood Education, which is produced as a partnership between the Urban League of Greater New Orleans and Agenda for Children.
There are two ways to get a child care referral:
Call our offices at (504) 586-8509 or 1-800-486-1712. Our referral specialists will ask you some basic information about your family and preferences, and will provide a list of referrals via email, regular mail or fax.
Search for child care using our database. Remember that you are always welcome to call our office if you have any questions or would like more information.
Note that the names of programs you receive are generated by a computer in an impartial manner. They are not recommendations and we cannot guarantee the quality of any program in our database. We strongly encourage you to interview and research the providers thoroughly before placing your child in a particular program. Read our How to Find Quality Care guide for more information on the child care search process.
